Regional Sales Manager Eric Antwi cautioned Sunyani SMEs against sharing PINs or engaging with suspicious codes and links during a capacity building workshop.

MTN Ghana has advised small and medium-sized enterprises across Ghana to refrain from sharing their personal identification numbers or responding to suspicious codes and links. This warning comes as digital platforms become more central to business operations in the country. Eric Antwi, Regional Sales Manager for MTN Business in the Northern Business Unit, stressed that security begins with each individual user. At an SME Capacity Building Programme in Sunyani, he told business owners that their PIN represents their unique identity and must remain confidential. He specifically warned against engaging with messages or calls claiming to be from MTN that request users to enter codes into their phones. The workshop, organized with Graphic Business, aimed to equip entrepreneurs with practical digital tools and security practices. MTN introduced services like Adwumapa for women entrepreneurs and YellowBiz for online business presence. Mr Antwi highlighted the growing importance of digital financial tools for SMEs seeking loans, savings, and transactions. He also encouraged participants to adopt solutions that enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness. Five businesses were selected during the event for further support.
