QNET says criminal gangs have exploited its branding to promise fake jobs abroad – some victims rescued in Kumasi and over 300 Ghanaians repatriated since 2025

A growing fraud network in Ghana has been using the QNET brand to lure job seekers with promises of overseas work, travel and quick money – a scheme that ends today in serious trouble for the criminals. Police say the gangs charge fees for fake contracts while hiding behind the well-known health and wellness company’s reputation, then disappear with victims’ cash.

QNET’s leadership in Accra has spoken out clearly: the firm does not and cannot provide employment, visas or any form of guaranteed income. Its real business sells health products through independent distributors, not recruitment drives. Any person demanding money for jobs while claiming to represent QNET is breaking company policy and the law.

The fraud came to light when Ashanti Regional Police rescued 251 young people in the Bohyen–Ampabame area of Kumasi during a coordinated raid. Reports also show that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has helped bring home more than 300 Ghanaians stranded in Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire after falling for these QNET-linked scams since the start of this year.

Authorities call these operations “Model Q” – a term for organised crime groups misusing respected business names to run human trafficking and employment scams. QNET says it has been working closely with local police, immigration officials, and international partners like EOCO to stop this abuse. Law enforcement continues to target every link in the fraud chain.
