A Global InfoAnalytics survey reveals party unity as the top consideration influencing NPP delegates’ choices for the party’s upcoming national executive elections.

Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Danquah, told Isaac Addae on Morning Starr that party unity has become a central issue shaping how delegates will vote in the party’s national executive elections.

The survey was designed to capture the range of factors delegates consider when selecting candidates for the party’s top leadership positions.

Respondents were presented with four distinct considerations, which the research team identified as potentially influential in delegate decision‑making.

Among the options, 45 % of delegates highlighted party unity as the most important factor, while 18 % cited personalities, 19 % pointed to grassroots considerations, and the remaining 18 % fell under an unspecified fourth category.

Danquah explained that the researchers then examined which candidates delegates linked to each of these considerations.

The exercise aimed to map how delegates associate specific aspirants with qualities such as cohesion, personal appeal, and local support.

According to the findings, certain candidates were repeatedly connected to the party‑unity factor, suggesting a perceived alignment with the priority expressed by almost half of the respondents.

The study also looked at how delegates associate individual aspirants with other dimensions, including personality traits and grassroots credibility.

Danquah emphasized that these results form part of a broader assessment of the election landscape and outline the variables that could ultimately guide delegate choices.

He added that understanding these associations helps clarify why party unity has risen to prominence as a decisive criterion in the forthcoming internal poll.
