Odo Broni marked Daddy Lumba’s posthumous birthday by supporting mothers and cancer patients at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The late Highlife royalty Daddy Lumba was remembered on what would have been his 62nd birthday with a humanitarian gesture led by his former partner Odo Broni. At Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, she joined his sister Faustina Fosu and others to settle medical bills for new mothers and leukemia patients, continuing a personal mission tied to family history.

The initiative, which expanded on earlier support given on the one‑year anniversary of Lumba’s death, saw Odo Broni cover delivery costs for six infants born on September 29 and provide GH¢3,000 to families of children undergoing cancer treatment. She explained that the effort was inspired by her late mother‑in‑law’s battle with leukemia, a disease that also deeply affected Lumba.

Hospital records confirm that over 62 individuals have now benefited from the programme, underscoring its ongoing impact on vulnerable patients across Accra’s main referral centre.

No public event is scheduled; the activity took place as a private commemorative effort without an announced follow‑up date.
