Mr Drew Advocates Fairer Platforms For Upcoming Musicians

Ghanaian star Mr Drew urges industry players to open doors for emerging talents and diversify performance line-ups.
Ghanaian music star Mr Drew has urged industry stakeholders to expand opportunities for emerging and lesser-known artistes. He argues the sector now leans heavily on a narrow circle of established names, crowding out fresh voices.
Speaking on Onua FM, Mr Drew said Ghana’s music space is large enough to showcase many talents, yet it looks small because a few personalities dominate the conversation. He believes this narrow focus stalls the industry’s growth and keeps audiences from hearing diverse sounds.
The "Case" hitmaker pointed out that numerous talented musicians remain obscure due to limited exposure on major platforms. He called on event organisers to deliberately feature new acts, allowing them to prove themselves before larger crowds.
Mr Drew also expressed concern that familiar names repeatedly appear on performance line-ups, which he says restricts chances for up‑and‑coming artists to gain visibility.
He stressed that a more inclusive approach could enrich the industry’s creative output and broaden public appeal.
