Hexagon Nutrition Launches VIT A+ for Food Fortification in Ghana

Hexagon Nutrition Limited has officially launched VIT A+, its flagship vitamin A formulation, at the Micronutrient Forum Global Conference in Accra. Developed initially as PFH-VAP by Particles for Humanity, the Accra launch marks a significant step towards commercializing this innovation for large-scale food fortification across the African continent. The company highlights the product's stability, especially for use in hot climates where traditional vitamins often degrade.
The product specifically addresses previous technical limitations of incorporating vitamin A palmitate into solid and semi-solid foods, having overcome poor dispersibility and instability challenges through encapsulation technology. While originally developed globally, Hexagon Nutrition is now driving its commercial adoption throughout African markets, aiming to tackle persistent vitamin A deficiencies across the region.
