GNFS rescues trapped driver after Upper East tipper accident

The Ghana National Fire Service has rescued Mr. Sulemana Nangne, a 35‑year‑old driver who was trapped in an overturned tipper truck on the road near Customs Barrier in Bolgatanga East District. The accident happened around 5:30 p.m., and the Bolgatanga Municipal Fire Station dispatched a six‑person team led by STNO1 Bright Atimbiok. The firefighters arrived at 5:38 p.m. and began extricating the driver, a process that lasted until 7:21 p.m. after nearly two hours of work. He was then handed over to the National Ambulance Service and taken to Upper East Regional Hospital.
