CSSPS Resolution Centre clears 30,781 placement issues

Over thirty thousand registration problems from school placement have been sorted, easing pressure on parents and students.
The Computerised School Selection and Placement System Resolution Centre, established by the Ministry of Education, has successfully resolved 30,781 of the 37,117 complaints logged during the 2023 school placement exercise. Calls for intervention started rising shortly after the release of the 2023 placement results in August when anxious parents flooded hotlines and social media with delays. The figure reflects the centre's activity between the peak of complaints and the final stages of the resolution window. Resolution efforts were intensified through regional coordination and direct liaison with school heads across the country. Urban centres like Accra and Kumasi recorded the highest volumes, yet rural districts also benefited from faster follow-up. The centre's work drew praise from parent groups who noted that previous years often left many cases unresolved until the following academic year. This milestone represents a major step toward reducing the friction that has long marked Ghana's school placement process. Follow-up monitoring continues to ensure each settled case reflects genuine resolution. The Education Ministry has affirmed that the centre will remain operational into the next academic cycle to maintain service quality. Future data releases are expected to track resolution rates more transparently. The achievement highlights how focused administrative action can speed up public service delivery.
