AI Training for 100,000 TVET Facilitators Launched
UNESCO, KPMG, Microsoft partner with Ghana's TVET Service to train 100,000 facilitators in AI and digital skills.
The Ghana Technical and Vocational Education and Training Service has teamed up with UNESCO, KPMG and Microsoft to launch a massive training programme in Artificial Intelligence and digital skills. The goal is to build the capacity of at least a hundred thousand TVET facilitators across the country.
This partnership comes as Ghana seeks to modernise its technical education system and keep pace with global digital transformation. By equipping trainers with AI knowledge, the initiative aims to improve the quality of vocational education and prepare young Ghanaians for the jobs of tomorrow.
The collaboration leverages the expertise of international partners while focusing on local needs. It reflects a broader push to strengthen Ghana’s human capital through technology and skills development.
Implementation details are still being finalised, but stakeholders say the programme will roll out through workshops, online modules and mentorship across Ghana’s regions.
If successful, the initiative could significantly boost the country's digital economy and create a new generation of tech-savvy trainers.
