Uganda Airlines is poised to begin direct flights between Accra and Entebbe starting October 27, 2026. This marks the airline’s first operation in Ghana, aiming to strengthen air links and catalyse trade, tourism and investment between Ghana and Uganda.
The launch also brings more travel choices for Ghanaians wishing to visit Uganda for business or leisure. With this service, passengers can now fly straight to Entebbe without layovers, saving time and reducing travel stress. The airline plans to hold commercial roadshows and has already held a Travel Trade Workshop with Ghanaian travel agents to create awareness and showcase Destination Uganda.
Uganda Airlines highlighted that Ghana is a key economic partner and that the new route will meet rising demand for both business and leisure travel. The connection is expected to improve cargo movement and open up opportunities for exporters, importers and investors in both countries. They say it will also strengthen business-to-business engagement and people-to-people ties across the two nations.
In the coming weeks, the airline says it will continue engaging stakeholders to explore collaboration opportunities and highlight the benefits of the new direct route.
