NPP has sworn in its newly elected national executives following a delegates conference in Kumasi.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially sworn in its newly elected national executives following the National Delegates’ Conference in Kumasi.

Over 7,000 delegates gathered at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on October 3 to elect the party’s national leadership. The ceremony marked the formal installation of the party’s new executive council, which had been chosen through a competitive internal process.

The newly appointed National Chairman is John Boadu. He will be joined by Kojo Fosu Boadu (known as Kojo Bamba) as First Vice Chairman, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) as Second Vice Chairman, and Nana Akomea as Third Vice Chairman. Justin Frimpong Kodua retains his position as General Secretary, while Daniel Nii Kwartey Titus Glover takes on the role of National Organiser. Mavis Hawa Koomson continues as National Women’s Organiser, Abanga Fuseini Yakubu as National Youth Organiser, Alfred Thompson as National Treasurer, and Dennis Miracles Aboagye as National Communications Director.

John Boadu used his inaugural address to call for unity within the party, urging members to set aside divisions and focus on the party’s shared goals. He emphasized the importance of collective effort in maintaining the NPP’s political momentum.

The election of the new executives was widely seen as a test of the party’s internal cohesion ahead of the 2024 general election. The process had been closely watched, particularly after recent internal disputes, but the successful conduct of the conference was viewed as a positive step for party discipline.

The event drew significant attendance from party officials, supporters, and media personnel. The Baba Yara Sports Stadium, a well-known venue for major political gatherings, provided a spacious setting for the large turnout.

The newly sworn-in executives are expected to begin their term with a series of regional engagements and policy orientations in the coming weeks.

No public event has been announced to mark the start of their official duties, and no specific dates or venues have been set for such activities.
