The party will hold its national delegates conference and elections at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

The New Patriotic Party has announced that it will station between three thousand and four thousand police officers in Kumasi for the security of its National Delegates Conference and the accompanying elections. The event is set for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, who chairs the NPP Organisation Committee, explained that the police presence would extend to the stadium grounds, the hostels where delegates and guests are lodged, and the surrounding road network to manage traffic flow. He praised the Inspector-General of Police and the Ashanti Regional Police Command for their assistance in the preparatory work. According to Mr Karbo, the conference preparations are nearing completion, with delegates already checking into their designated accommodation across the city. Public address equipment is being installed at the stadium, and security personnel have been positioned at key points around the venue. He expressed confidence that the aspirants and delegates would conduct themselves responsibly, noting that the contestants have cooperated throughout the planning stages. The chairperson urged all participants to remain disciplined and avoid any behaviour that could disrupt the conference or the electoral process. He also reassured the public that the NPP is fully committed to delivering a smooth and successful event.
