MTN Ghana Trains Bloggers in AI and Cybersecurity at Digital Forum

MTN Ghana hosted over 50 bloggers in Accra to discuss AI, cybersecurity and digital economy opportunities.
MTN Ghana convened more than 50 bloggers and digital content creators in Accra for a forum focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and the growth of Ghana’s digital economy. Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer Adwoa Wiafe opened the event, emphasizing the company’s commitment to the blogging community and the vital role creators play in public discourse. The forum formed part of MTN’s broader strategy to build digital capacity across the country.
Senior Manager for Digital Analytics and Monetisation Kwame Manu led a session on AI’s practical use in content creation. He explained how bloggers could leverage AI for research, trend identification and idea generation while urging caution about verifying AI-generated information. Participants were advised to maintain their individual voice and provide clear context when using AI tools. Emerging agentic AI systems capable of performing tasks with limited human input were also introduced.
The programme highlighted content authenticity, urging creators to use technology without compromising originality. Senior Manager of MTN Home Dorinda Bruce-Acquah discussed building sustainable content businesses through focused platforms, loyal communities and continuous skill development. She promoted MTN Home’s Fibre and Fixed Wireless Access services as reliable connectivity solutions for remote creators.
MobileMoney Fintech LTD’s Trade Marketing Coordinator Isaac Agyenim Boateng presented MoMo app opportunities for creators, detailing available offers and features. Fatawu Sanie Siba from Innova DDB Ghana shared guidance on securing social media accounts and managing brand relationships. Ag. Senior Manager for Corporate Communications Efua Falconer reaffirmed MTN’s partnership with the New Media Association of Ghana.
President of the New Media Association Eugene Osafo-Nkansah praised the initiative and encouraged bloggers to apply the knowledge gained. MTN Ghana continues its 30-year legacy of digital advocacy under the theme “30 Years of Progress, Powered by You,” reinforcing its role in shaping Ghana’s digital future.
