Joy Prime Launches Prime Insight Current Affairs Show

Joy Prime on Saturday, 4 September 2025, introduced Prime Insight – a current affairs programme that gives Ghanaians deeper conversations on issues they meet daily. The show started on 16 August 2025, under the hosting of Blessed Sogah, and runs each Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Its first edition examined illegal mining (galamsey) and the upcoming Akwatia and Tamale Central by‑elections, bringing together politicians, civil society and environmental voices.

The programme then moved to other matters that hit households directly – proposals to raise water and electricity tariffs, and the rising cost of commercial transport. By analysing these topics, Prime Insight helps viewers ask why problems such as high fares or power bills happen, who is responsible, and what can be done locally. Its format invites experts and ordinary citizens to speak, so that audiences leave with clearer explanations or new perspectives.

Viewers have responded positively, saying the discussions make them more aware of how policy decisions affect their daily routines and personal budgets. As the series grows, future editions are expected to continue probing pressing national topics in a way that connects with ordinary Ghanaians.
