Fusaini Abanga leads NPP Youth Organiser race with 45% support

Latest tracking poll shows Fusaini Abanga holding steady at 45% ahead of NPP youth elections
Fusaini Yakubu Abanga continues to dominate the New Patriotic Party's National Youth Organiser contest, maintaining a 23-point advantage over his nearest rival. The Global InfoAnalytics tracking poll, conducted between September 24 and 28, 2026, found Abanga with 45% support among committed NPP delegates. Clement O. Gyamfi trails with 22%, while Michael Osei Boateng holds 14% and Alfred Ababio and Vera Oye Bram-Larbi each secure 7%. Chris Lloyd Asamoah records 4%. Abanga's consistency stands out, having recorded 46% in the first wave on September 17, then 45% on both September 23 and 28. His movement across the three surveys totals just one percentage point, indicating stable backing. Gyamfi, once at 30%, dropped sharply to 22% in the final wave after leading in the initial survey. Boateng gained momentum, rising from 9% to 14%, while Ababio and Bram-Larbi both doubled their support from early to final figures. Asamoah's numbers fell from 9% to 4%, within expected statistical variation. The final survey included 3,263 delegates across all 16 NPP regions, using Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews with a 98% confidence level and a margin of error of ±1.35 percentage points. Sample sizes grew from 2,342 on September 17 to 3,288 on September 23 before settling at 3,263. The data offers a clear signal ahead of the party's youth elections, with Abanga positioned to retain influence over NPP youth mobilisation strategies. No official candidate has yet withdrawn, but the narrowing gap between Abanga and Gyamfi suggests renewed campaign activity may follow.
