A Plus Pledges Motorbikes to Teshie Police After Calling Community Most Dangerous

MP Kwame Asare Obeng announces immediate motorbike donation to Teshie police following Nana Yaw Kyere’s death
The Gomoa Central Member of Parliament, Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus, has declared that motorbikes will be handed to Teshie police next week to boost patrols following recent violent incidents in the area. The pledge came days after the murder of phone dealer Nana Yaw Kyere alias Dinero whose death sparked public concern across the country. Police say they have arrested suspects linked to the case and are continuing their investigation while community leaders call for calm. A Plus argued that resources must be increased and that sustained police presence is needed to protect ordinary residents from criminals and what he described as ineffective political distractions. Veteran broadcaster Ewulu Nii Adjei Klu challenged the negative characterisation of the suburb insisting that ongoing inquiries should not label the whole community as hazardous. In response A Plus reaffirmed his stance saying he would not be silenced by criticism and urged political actors to prioritise practical security solutions over media gatherings. The lawmaker also insisted that the people of Teshie deserve a protective environment and police support that respects their safety above partisan interests. Plans are now being finalised for the formal donation ceremony which is expected to occur later this week as police prepare to review patrol routes and operational priorities in the area.
