A 35-year-old man has been jailed 25 months for setting fire to three cars at a mechanic shop in Accra.
The Accra Circuit Court 10 sentenced the culprit to 25 months’ hard labour after he deliberately set ablaze three vehicles belonging to a businessman. The incident caused property damage estimated at GH₵195,000.
The court found the accused guilty of arson and ordered the punishment to serve as deterrence for similar offences.
The judgment underscores the judiciary’s commitment to protecting property and upholding law and order in the capital.
