The former Sports Minister, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye has urged a review of how Ghana’s national teams are run after a 4-2 defeat to Gambia in Accra. The loss came in the second round of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers and left the Black Stars without points after also losing to Cote d'Ivoire earlier. Vanderpuye said the team appears gone because of problems hidden beneath a surface that looks okay, describing the current approach as cow‑dung management.
