Fancy Gadam Confirms GH120K Fee to Sarkodie for 2017 Tamale Concert

Fancy Gadam has disclosed that he paid Sarkodie a whopping GH¢120,000 to perform at his historic 2017 concert at Tamale Sports Stadium. The revelation comes from a conversation on George Quaye's show on Joy Prime, where the Northern Territory musician recalled the moment he recognised the true worth of top Ghanaian artistes. This amount made him reconsider his own professional standing.

The exposure came after years of struggle in the Northern Region music scene. Initially working with limited resources, Gadam credited this particular event with altering his financial outlook. When asked about negotiations, he clarified that he did not handle Sarkodie's booking personally. Instead, his then-manager Alhaji Nero facilitated the rapper's appearance.

Alhaji Nero maintained close ties with Sarkodie dating back many years, and both were known as neighbours in Tamale. This friendship led Gadam to assume Sarkodie would contribute to the collaboration on his smash hit 'Total Cheat' without charge. Gadam admitted he remained unaware of the commercial arrangements until video production preparations began.

Despite these misunderstandings, the Sarkodie integration proved pivotal for Gadam's career trajectory. The partnership elevated his industry profile and validated his artistic ambitions.
