Boakye Agyarko hails John Boadu’s election as NPP chairman and vows backing for party unity.

Former Energy Minister Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko has praised John Boadu following his election as National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.

Agyarko issued his statement on October 4, 2026, describing the delegates’ decision as a reaffirmation of the party’s democratic roots and collective purpose.

In a congratulatory message, he praised the delegates for placing their trust in Boadu and called on him to lead with wisdom and strength.

He affirmed his full support for Boadu, the newly formed National Executive Committee and Vice‑President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Agyarko reiterated that the party’s main aim is a decisive victory in the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.

He pledged to work with the party’s grassroots across all 16 regions to achieve that goal.

The former minister also thanked the NPP National Elections Committee, the Electoral Commission of Ghana and the security services for organising a transparent and peaceful election.

He congratulated the newly elected national executives, describing their wins as a call to service and sacrifice.

Agyarko, who finished second in the chairmanship contest, expressed gratitude to his campaign team, volunteers, constituency leaders and delegates at home and abroad.

He praised the campaign for its dignity, energy and love for the party.

Emphasising party unity, he said internal contests are family matters, not battles between rivals.

He stressed that the party itself is the winner and called on members to unite for the upcoming election cycle.

Agyarko urged the party to close ranks, heal divisions and present an impenetrable front.

He concluded by calling on the party to rise as one indivisible family united in purpose, discipline and fellowship.

God bless the New Patriotic Party, God bless Ghana.
