Project Officer – AgrEcoNUS+ at Catholic Relief Services

The role: Project Officer – AgrEcoNUS+ at Catholic Relief Services. The employer is Catholic Relief Services. What you will do: Organize and lead project activities according to the implementation plan, CRS quality standards and donor requirements. Provide training and technical guidance on neglected and underutilized species (NUS) crop systems through demonstration fields and farmer field schools. Support the creation and strengthening of community seed banks and local seed systems. Help civil society actors engage authorities on policies for farmer‑managed seed systems. Facilitate information exchange, learning and knowledge sharing across project actors and countries. Advocate for NUS in sustainable food systems at national and regional levels. Promote consumer awareness and trust in NUS and agroecological products. Ensure full documentation of activities in line with agency and donor rules. Prepare annual reports and record case studies, success stories and promising practices. What you need: Proficient in English. Able to travel up to 25 % of the time. Proficient with MS Windows and Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong observation, listening and analysis skills with sound judgment. Good relationship‑management abilities and capacity to work closely with local partners and community members. Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness. Proactive, results‑oriented and service‑oriented. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Development studies or Social Sciences; a Master’s degree is a plus. At least three years of project support or agriculture/climate‑change experience in an NGO setting. Preferred experience in project monitoring, data collection, participatory action planning and community engagement. No supervisory responsibilities.
