National Service Personnel – Youth Employment & Skills at African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET)
The role is a National Service Personnel position within the Youth Employment and Skills (YES) team at the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET). ACET is an economic policy institute that supports Africa’s long-term growth through research, policy advice, and action aimed at reducing poverty and improving livelihoods. The position reports to the Head of YES and is based in Accra. What you will do: You will support the YES program by conducting desk research on youth employment, education, TVET, and labor market trends, and compile this information to aid program implementation and policy analysis. You will prepare reports, presentations, briefs, and correspondence while managing knowledge resources and records. You will maintain and organize content on the YES-PACT Portal, monitor user engagement, and support content dissemination. You will assist in planning and coordinating events, meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements, preparing materials and liaising with the Communications and Events teams. You will also update the YES Team Tracker, track deliverables, follow up on action items, and support overall program coordination. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support ACET’s mission. What you need: You must have at least an undergraduate degree in Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. You need to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and possess strong research, writing, and analytical skills. You should be able to work effectively in a team, manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision, and adapt quickly to new concepts. A strong interest in youth employment, skills development, education, and labor market issues is essential. Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities are required.
