The role: This is a National Service Personnel (NSP) position within the Communications team at The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET), a leading African policy institute based in Accra, Ghana. The role is full-time and forms part of ACET’s mission to advance African solutions to African development challenges through research, advocacy, and policy influence. The Communications NSP will work directly with the Communications and Knowledge Manager and contribute to shaping how ACET’s work is shared with policymakers and stakeholders across the continent. What you will do: Support the creation and management of digital content across ACET’s social media platforms using scheduling tools, monitor online engagement, and design digital assets such as event flyers and welcome cards using Canva. You will assist in producing and editing videos, curating and formatting the quarterly newsletter via Mailchimp, and managing technical setup for Zoom webinars. The role also involves supporting knowledge management tasks, including updating ACET’s publications database, maintaining its Wikipedia presence, and organizing media and event outreach materials. Additional duties include administrative support for communications initiatives, tracking key activities, and contributing creative ideas to enhance ACET’s visibility and impact. What you need: A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, along with 1–2 years of relevant experience in digital content creation, social media management, or communications, preferably in a development or non-profit context. You should be proficient in using tools like Mailchimp, Canva, and Zoom, with strong writing, editing, and design skills. Experience in research, media monitoring, and database management is essential, as is the ability to work flexibly in a hybrid environment and collaborate across teams.
