Head Of Operations at FIDO

The role: We are seeking a Head of Operations to lead the efficient running of FIDO, a fast-growing fintech shaping the future of finance in Africa. You will own and continuously improve core operational functions, including Business Operations, IT support, systems administration, and the Back Office Function. What you will do: Define and implement the target operating model for the organisation, translating it into automation and AI initiatives. Partner with function owners to identify manual or error‑prone workflows, build automations, and ensure operations meet security, continuity, data protection, and regulatory requirements. Package proven Ghanaian optimisations into repeatable playbooks and roll them out across other markets. Manage technical vendors, oversee operational readiness for product launches, and own the operations budget to deliver measurable efficiency gains. Build and coach a high‑performing operations team. What you need: Operational domain expertise with a clear vision for efficient organisational design, process optimisation, systems and IT management, and digital transformation. Minimum 8 years of operations experience, including at least 3 years leading teams in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. Strong systems‑thinking, data‑driven decision‑making, and a track record of cost reduction or process improvement through automation. Ability to co‑design technology‑enabled processes with stakeholders, manage technical vendors, and embed audit‑ready controls.
