The role: The position is for a Foreman – Instrumentation at AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, based in Tarkwa. The employer seeks a qualified professional to lead instrumentation work on site. What you will do: You will install, maintain, inspect and calibrate instrumentation and control systems according to OEM specifications and SOPs. You will diagnose and repair instrumentation, control systems, starters and related electrical equipment, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues to minimise downtime. You will also monitor high‑voltage systems, support maintenance of transformers, switchgear and substations, and ensure all work follows ISO and OSHAS standards, including proper safe‑work permits and lock‑out procedures. What you need: You need an HND in Electrical Engineering or a Basic and Advanced Certificate in Instrumentation and Control Systems (or a related discipline) from a recognised institution, plus an Inspecting Engineer Certification from the Mineral Commission. You must have at least five years of relevant experience, with three of those years working on CIL or milling‑plant instruments. You should be knowledgeable about PLC configurations, radioactive source density measurement, flow‑meter and load‑cell calibration, and the major instruments used in CIL or milling plants. You must be able to work in a multidisciplinary engineering team, report accidents and incidents, manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality, and communicate effectively in writing and interpersonal interactions. A valid Ghanaian driving licence and the ability to drive a light vehicle are required, as is a commitment to safety, attention to detail, reliability and teamwork.
