The role: We are seeking a highly skilled Electric Motor Specialist to join Electrofax Engineering Services (GH) Ltd, an engineering firm based in Accra. The employer is looking for a professional who can manage low voltage and medium voltage motor systems across industrial and mining sectors. What you will do: Diagnose faults and repair LV and MV AC motors, perform complete overhauls including dismantling, cleaning, bearing replacement, drying, assembly and testing, conduct condition assessments and prepare technical reports, carry out electrical tests such as insulation resistance, polarization index, winding resistance, surge comparison and high voltage testing, perform vibration analysis, shaft alignment and troubleshooting, install and commission motors on client sites, supervise maintenance activities, ensure compliance with OEM specifications and international standards, prepare service reports and recommend corrective actions, support emergency breakdown response and planned shutdown maintenance. What you need: HND, degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field, minimum five years experience working on industrial LV and MV electric motors, strong knowledge of induction, slip ring and synchronous motors and control systems, ability to read electrical drawings and technical manuals, good troubleshooting and analytical skills, willingness to travel across Ghana, experience with vibration analysis and laser shaft alignment is preferred, knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques is preferred, familiarity with motor testing equipment and diagnostic instruments is preferred, strong commitment to safety and quality, excellent communication and teamwork skills.
