The role: The position is within the Information and Communication Technology Division of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in Accra. It is an application development role focused on building and maintaining software solutions for the organization. What you will do: You will design and develop practical applications and software for office use, maintain existing applications, contribute to development projects, and manage web-based applications. The role also involves advising management on IT needs, verifying report accuracy for user departments, and performing other duties as assigned. What you need: A Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division) in Computer Science or a related field, plus at least three years of hands-on experience. You must have five credits in WASSCE/GCE O-Level including English and Mathematics, or six credits across no more than two sittings with the same subjects. Desirable skills include experience with IBM i, cloud and DevOps, modern web technologies, and programming languages such as C, Java, ASP.Net MVC, and Flutter. Familiarity with frameworks like React, Node.js, or Angular, as well as databases and SQL, is also preferred. How to apply: Submit your CV to the Registrar at WAEC Headquarters in Accra.
