Garu District Assembly

The Bawku West District Assembly manages local affairs for the Bawku community. You’ll find their civil service office handling permits and local coordination in the town centre. They support district growth through straightforward community engagement and local government processes. This office sits right in Bawku serving residents across the district.

Garu Tempane Farmers Association stands as a proud community hub for farmers just outside Bawku. Here, you can sense the deep roots of agriculture that have shaped this part of the Upper East Region for generations. They gather working folks who grow everything from millet to groundnuts across the surrounding fields. You’d feel the warmth of shared knowledge as members swap stories about planting seasons and soil care. This is where the land’s heartbeat keeps time in Bawku.
